Bluejays Hockey Club

Bluejays Hockey Club was formed in 1994 based upon the development of junior hockey in the Nowra/Bomaderry area. In 2010 & 2011, the club fielded teams in the mens, womens and junior divisions. Within the senior mens and womens teams there is a mixture of junior players that have come through the club’s junior development program.

The club runs a MINKEY program for beginner juniors.

The club strongly supports the Shoalhaven representative team program and encourages both its senior and junior members to further develop their hockey at this higher level as players, umpires, coaches or administrators.

In 2011 Bluejays won the Club Championship, Mens A Grade Premierschip and the Junior A Grade premierships.

In 2011 Bluejays entered at 2 mens teams, 1 womens teams and 3 junior teams.

Club training is held for all teams - Tuesday evenings for Seniors. Training for Juniors is on a Friday afternoon between 4:30 and 5:30pm at North Nowra.

City Juniors had one Junior team in 2011.

Kangaroo Valley Hockey Club

In 2011 Kangaroo Valley had a single mens team.

Shoalhaven Heads Hockey Club

In 2011 Shoalhaven Heads had 2 womens teams.

St Georges Basin Hockey Club

In 2011 St. Georges Basin Hockey Club had 2 teams in the Womens grade and one mens team as well as one junior team. St Geo Basin has been a very competitive club doing well in all grades.

The club recognises the efforts of its junior players by awarding McDonalds encouragement certificates. The Club prides itself on being a friendly and supportive club and welcomes all new players. St. Georges Basin regularly contribute players in the Representative sides of the Shoalhaven and supports the advancement of their junior umpires.
